Empowering Communities. Building Peace. Protecting the Environment.

Zahra Organization for Integrated Development Services (ZOIDS)

was established in 2011 in South Kordofan in response to emergencies following armed conflict. It was founded by academics and youth experts in peacebuilding, environment, and development.

We move together for humanity and life

working in partnership with people at all levels of society to help build communities that can withstand crisis, and drive and sustain the kind of growth that improves the quality of life for everyone.

Core Focus and Approach

ZOIDS is a national voluntary NGO dedicated to peace-building, conflict prevention, and

community resilience through natural resource management and community empowerment.

Recognizing climate change as a critical driver of vulnerability and conflict, particularly in

South Kordofan, ZOIDS emphasizes the interconnectedness of environmental sustainability,
